The design theme of this project is “Fold a paper plane and let it fly with your dreams”.
The boy folds a paper plane. At his breath, it is flying to the sky. The paper plane flies tirelessly with birds, flowers, and the dream in his heart. They cross each other then separate apart. Finally, everything returns to peace, like a midsummer night floating dream. The white paper plane represents his courage to pursue his dream which is pure and innocent, like a poetic youth memory.
Located between the natural fields in the Lin'an, Hangzhou, this project aims to create a camp for teenagers to play outdoor sports. Inspired by the paper plane that carries the dream and fun of teenagers, the roof of this building has been folded as a paper plane flying from a child’s hand, freely flying in the sky.

Rendering of First Stage Concept Design
The height of east facades are reduced one by one from left to right, while the white and wooden color are alternatively distributed. In front, there is a vast field, where children can create innovative and interesting memorable scenes, while the building behind are quietly guarding teenagers’ growth. Contrast is a basic technique in art design. On the south side the project, the different elements of two blocks create a contrast effect – tall and short, white and wooden color-tune, grid and glass, which is contradictory but harmonious, leading to a satisfied effect.
