In this invitation-only design competition, our design aims to host an array of public exhibition space as well as become a premier "active scientific and educational institution" that enhances connections with the existing Marathon Station and encourages exploration amongst its users.
Traditionally, these two worlds, exterior and interior, never need to be met. Opposing requirements, it was thought, need opposing surfaces. But as our external and internal environments continue to collide into a singular typology of simply liveable space, more and more projects both large and small, are managing to creat a natural transitions and connections.
